Reliance Jio recently launched two new budget-friendly 4G phones in India, the JioBharat V3 and V4, priced at just ₹1,099. These phones are designed to make 4G accessible to everyone, especially those still using 2G networks.
Both phones come packed with some surprising features for their price range, including 4G connectivity, support for UPI payments via JioPay, and access to JioCinema for streaming movies and sports. Despite their feature phone appearance, these devices offer more than you’d expect at such a low price.
The JioBharat V3 has a classic design with a T9 keyboard, while the JioBharat V4 comes with a more modern look, offering a single camera on the back and a sturdy, compact build. Both phones are tailored for basic users but provide a gateway to the digital world with essential apps and services like JioCinema, FM Radio, and UPI.
This launch aligns with Jio’s mission to create a 2G-free India by providing affordable alternatives to expensive smartphones. The phones come with budget-friendly data plans, starting at ₹123 for 14GB of data per month, which includes unlimited voice calls. This move will likely appeal to those looking to upgrade from traditional feature phones without breaking the bank.
The JioBharat V3 and V4 are part of Jio’s continued push to expand digital access across India, particularly in rural and underdeveloped areas
